| FAQs Q: What media does the MultiFlash support? A: The MultiFlash supports Compact Flash Type I & II, IBM Microdrive, Sony Memory Stick, Secure Digital, 3.3V Smart Media, and MultiMedia Cards. Q: How do I determine if my Multiflash will work under MacOS X? A: If your unit was shipped with a black driver CD, then your MultiFlash will work with Mac OS X. If your unit was shipped with a yellow CD, it will not work under MacOS X. In order to use MacOS X you would need to purchase the newer MultiFlash. Q: What platforms are supported? A: The MultiFlash is supported in Windows 98/98SE, ME, 2000, XP, MacOS 8.6, and MacOS 9.x. Some of the new versions of the MultiFlash are supported in MacOS X and Linux. Q: What capacities are supported? A: The capacity depends on the media used. All of the supported media are available in capacities up to 128 MB. Compact Flash is available in capacities up to 256 MB. Q: How do I use my AcomData memory card reader? A: Once the drivers are installed (refer to your manual for detailed instructions on how to install the drivers), the unit will function similarly to a hard drive. You can copy, transfer, and delete files on the memory cards with drag and drop ease. Q: Why would I need a memory card reader? A: Our line of memory card readers have many functions that are useful for a variety of purposes. They can transfer your pictures from your digital camera at speeds up to 45 times faster than downloading them directly from the camera.
